My Bible reading and my work come together in one thought this morning. I’m reading about cleansing in Numbers 19. God was serious about having a clean people.
I’m not only decluttering, I’m cleaning. The results of good old soap and water are sparkling! God washes us in His word. He shows us our sin and gives us the opportunity to clean it up!
That he might sanctify her,
having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,
so that he might present the church to himself in splendor,
without spot or wrinkle or any such thing,
that she might be holy and without blemish.
Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being,
and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart.
Purge me with hyssop,
and I shall be clean;
wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones that you have broken rejoice.
Hide your face from my sins,
and blot out all my iniquities.
Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a right spirit within me.
When God does the washing, it’s perfect.
Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow!
More than anything I would like to encourage you in your walk with God!
