"Moreover, as for me,
Samuel did two things that encourage me today.
1. He prayed without ceasing
(and knew that not praying was sin against the Lord!)
2. He didn’t stop there. He gave instruction in the good and right way.
It reminded me of a verse I’ve been thinking of recently…
For the grace of God has appeared,
God’s grace doesn’t only bring salvation, it brings instruction in the good and right way! I hope you and I have teachable hearts and are ready to receive instruction!
Here’s our instruction for the day.
Deny (say NO! to) ungodliness and worldly desires… all the strong lusts that want to rule us that aren’t of God. Say no!
Live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age.
Yes, people around you won’t live that way.
You live that way!
And one more thing…look for Jesus to come! He’s coming.
“for consider what great things He has done for you.”
Today, pray for those God puts on your heart, but don't stop there. Instruct them in the good and right way. But of course you need to have a teachable heart first! You deny and live and look. For consider what great things He has done for you! Great, great things!
More than anything I would like to encourage you in your walk with God!
