God, my Shield

I’m noticing God, my “Shield” in my reading through the Psalms. Here David says his protection is with God. That got me looking ahead in the Psalms to see what is said about God, my shield. Love it! (The above picture is last night's sunset in Georgia!)

The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart exults, And with my song I shall thank Him. Psalm 28:7

Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield. Psalm 33:20

For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, How blessed is the man who trusts in You! Psalm 84:11, 12

You are my hiding place and my shield; I wait for Your word. Psalm 119:114

My lovingkindness and my fortress, My stronghold and my deliverer,
My shield and He in whom I take refuge,
Who subdues my people under me. Psalm 144:2

From reading through these verses and their chapters, I noticed David’s response to God, his Shield.

Give thanks.
Praise him.
Sing praise.
Wait
Trust.
Fear.
and sing some more.

This is so good! I’m getting ready to do a weekend conference on being a woman of praise. What a great start! Praise comes from a heart full of Him! Today I'm thankful for God, my Shield! Please pray for me. Tonight I speak around 8 pm. Thanks, my praying friends. What do you appreciate about God today?
