A Prayer of Moses, the man of God. Lord,
Many years ago my dad was in my car having a heart attack as I drove him to the hospital. Yes, you read that right! What a day that was. As I was driving, thinking dad would die in that seat next to me, God, the Holy Spirit, brought this verse to mind! Now whenever I read it, I think of that day. God wrapped His arms of comfort around me, reminding me that He is eternal! Dad didn’t die then, by the way, but he is in glory now. We are mortal. We have a short life to live in light of eternity. I had to post a picture of my cute parents at the start of this!
You turn man back into dust And say, "Return, O children of men."
God is Eternal. He created man and sees man return to dust. Time to God is not like time to us! How do we act in view of our short life?
So teach us to number our days,
I love these three things!
Realize my short time here and be wise!
Look for the Lord’s return!
Let God satisfy me and give me joy all my days!
Oh, how glad I am for this eternal view today! Thank you, Lord!
More than anything I would like to encourage you in your walk with God!
