=== Deuteronomy 34:1-5 === Moses, Look and Die! ===
Now Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo…and the LORD showed him all the land….
Then the LORD said to him, "This is the land which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob…I have let you see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there."
So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.
The Lord took Moses to the top of a mountain and showed him all the land of Israel. It belonged to Moses, but before Moses could enter it he must die. In resurrection, the land would be his!
=== Matthew 4:1, 8-10 == Jesus, Look and Die! ===
Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
...the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory; and he said to Him, "All these things I will give You, if You fall down and worship me."
Then Jesus *said to him, "Go, Satan!'"
Like Moses, Jesus was also taken to the top of a mountain and showed the Land. But Jesus was shown all the lands of all the earth. Moses inheritance was only one land, Israel. Jesus' inheritance is all the lands. He is King of Kings! Satan offered everything to Jesus if He would take it before His death on the cross. All the lands belonged to Jesus! But before He chose to take the throne as King of the Earth, He chose to die. First the cross! One day the land of every country on earth will be His possession! It will be a righteous earth with a King of Righteousness on the throne. It will all be washed in the blood of the lamb.
The death of Jesus won every good thing for you and me. Is your Savior the King who died for your sin, or are you believing the lie of Satan, and hoping for a deathless and bloodless victory? The good things of God are only for those who have washed themselves in the blood of the Lamb. Without the blood of Jesus, your blood will be on your head for all eternity.
God's winners have died with Christ and are patiently waiting for resurrection to receive the promises of God.
For me to live is Christ.
