So, that's why!
There is always a good reason for the smallest detail of life, but God's Word does not reveal the details of life; it teaches the principles of life.
Many people waste their limited life trying to understand what they will never understand--the infinite details. At the same time, they neglect to study what God has given them to understand in their lifetime--the finite big picture, the principles by which God does what He does.
====== So that's why! ======
The tribe of Simeon was swallowed by the tribe of Judah, because Judah needed help!
"The inheritance of the sons of Simeon was taken from the portion of the sons of Judah, for the share of the sons of Judah was too large for them; so the sons of Simeon received an inheritance in the midst of Judah's inheritance."
====== No wait! That's not why! =====
The earlier reason is that Simeon's anger disqualified his descendants from having their own separate land in the nation of Israel.
"Then Jacob summoned his sons and said…
'Simeon and Levi are brothers; Their swords are implements of violence. Let my soul not enter into their council; Let not my glory be united with their assembly; Because in their anger they slew men, And in their self-will they lamed oxen. Cursed be their anger, for it is fierce; And their wrath, for it is cruel. I will disperse them in Jacob, And scatter them in Israel.'"
God folds the curtain back for just a peak, so that we will trust the heart of God with the details of life. There is a reason, and there is a reason within a reason, and there are reasons within those reasons that are only known to God.
You will never have a good enough reason for what happened to you. God does not offer you a good reason. He offers you a good God and a wonderful Savior, and an eternal joy.
For me to live is Christ.
