Just because you can do something, does not mean you should do it.
2 Chronicles 1:12,14
"And I [God] will give you [Solomon] riches and wealth and honor, such as none of the kings who were before you has possessed nor those who will come after you"… Solomon amassed chariots and horsemen. He had 1,400 chariots and 12,000 horsemen.
We have opportunities to do many things. God gave Solomon money to do whatever was in his heart, but Solomon chose something that was not in God's heart. He accumulated horses and chariots. God warned Israel not to accumulate horses and chariots. People who multiply chariots for war, trust in chariots and not God; and they fear whoever has the most horses, instead of fearing God.
When a door of opportunity opens, do not rush through it. Pray about it, seek God in His word, and even ask a trusted friend in Christ. Then by faith either say yes or no. Sometimes "no" will be the better answer. Sometimes "yes."
For me to live is Christ.
