Job 1:21 Job says:
He said, "Naked I came from my mother's womb,
And naked I shall return there.
The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away.
Blessed be the name of the LORD."
Ecclesiastes 5:15 Solomon says:
As he had come naked from his mother's womb, so will he return as he came. He will take nothing from the fruit of his labor that he can carry in his hand.
2 Corinthians 5:1-4 Paul says:
For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For indeed in this house we groan, longing to be clothed with our dwelling from heaven, inasmuch as we, having put it on, will not be found naked.
I have two observations:
First, on earth I entered unclothed and I will exit unclothed. At some point, I will lose everything in life. I will be left with only God. The good news is God is more than enough! If you have God and you lose everything, you will still have more than enough. The bad news is if you have not cared for God or received His Son, when you lose everything, you will have nothing.
My second thought is that in heaven, I will enter clothed and never exit unclothed. No shopping! No laundry.
For me to live is Christ.
