Is this Bible verse true?
Job 4:7 Eliphaz speaks to Job
Remember now, who ever perished being innocent?
Or where were the upright destroyed?
The answer to "who" is many.
The answer to "where" is everywhere.
So the verse is not true.
But this verse is also true! It is true because it truly records the words of Eliphaz, but Eliphaz' claim is false. Job's friend is not speaking the truth. He is filling the air with religious words. God is giving us an example of religious speech which sounds good but has no value. Religious words do not heal.
It is sometimes hard to tell the difference between religious words and truth; between religion and real Christianity. Stop and think. Do you have a religion, or do you have Christ? Are you happy with religious words or do you want to know God and His Word?
For me to live is Christ.
