Mumsy update
Thanks for praying for Mumsy and please continue to pray. In November Mumsy took a turn toward heaven and God directed us to home hospice. They are wonderful and have been such a support. Since entering, Mumsy has stabilized some and has good and bad days. She spends her days in bed, but is able to transfer, with our help, to her wheel chair to eat and to go potty. Mostly she loves her bed.
Mumsy’s mind has gotten worse. She spends her waking moments spelling and calling for Terry (my sister in law who comes from Dubuque to help us) or Craig or me. She can go for days talking with no sleep! The recent filibuster in the senate was wimpy compared to mom’s three days talking nonstop. One moment she can be totally out of it and the next moment carry on meaningful conversation, although brief. Presently we are hiring night help so that we can continue to care for her at home. Pray that the Lord will continue to provide just the right girls for the job.
She has a sweet spirit as a result of walking with the Lord Jesus. Last night the girl told me she is amazed at mom. Mom is always thanking her and asking how she is doing. What a woman! She still thinks of others. One morning on the potty she said to me, “I’m so discouraged I could cry.” I was saddened because this is rare, so I asked what she was thinking. She said, “I never thought it would be like this.” I told her she was precious and it was my privilege to care for her because I love her. She said, “and you never complain.” Wow! That made it all worthwhile!
Mumsy and I sing through hymnbooks and in the process came upon a new song to us which is our new favorite. Because the chorus is simple and repeats, she loves to repeat the words. Looking forward to this day!
On the happy, golden shore, where the faithful part no more,
When the storms of life are over, meet me there;
Where the night dissolves away into pure and perfect day,
I am going home to stay, meet me there.
Meet me there, meet me there,
Where the tree of life is blooming, meet me there;
When the storms of life are o’er, on the happy golden shore,
Where the faithful part no more, meet me there.
Here our fondest hopes are vain, dearest links are rent in twain,
But in Heav’n no throb of pain, meet me there;
By the river sparkling bright in the city of delight,
Where our faith is lost in sight, meet me there.
Where the harps of angels ring, and the blest forever sing,
In the palace of the King, meet me there;
Where in sweet communion blend heart with heart and friend with friend,
In a world that ne’er shall end, meet me there.
Progress
Website building tip of the day. Don't lose momentum! I turned the computer on an hour ago to continue working on the rolinger.org site and started watching Korean cooking videos. If you have momentum work into the night and the early morning hours. Don't stop, or else! If you stop working and watch Korean cooking videos, your heart will turn into red pepper paste, and your resolve will soften into rice cakes.
Soon Nancy's Bible study section will be redone to include proper dates for the studies and also the PDF class notes.
Lot's of tweaks remain to be done. If you find some glaring errors. Let me know. I will thank you. ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. )

We love the Bible. We love the Lord Jesus. We love the Lord's people, and the world for whom the Lord Jesus died.
