Let your speech always be with grace,
as though seasoned with salt,
so that you will know how you should respond to each person.
This reminded me of Jesus today:
And all were speaking well of Him,
and wondering at the gracious words
which were falling from His lips;
and they were saying, "Is this not Joseph's son?
Speech like Jesus.
That’s my goal for today. (and tomorrow etc…)
What about you?
Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ,
keep seeking the things above,
where Christ is,
seated at the right hand of God.
Set your mind on the things above,
not on the things that are on earth.
For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
When Christ, who is our life, is revealed,
then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.
The things of earth are very much in front of us every day! This would be the normal place for me to set my mind. BUT I can live for something greater! Christ is my life! Hallelujah! I have a whole different perspective because of Him.
The things of earth will dim and lose their value
If we recall they're borrowed for awhile;
And things of earth that cause the heart to tremble,
Remembered there will only bring a smile.
But until then my heart will go on singing,
Until then with joy I'll carry on,
Until the day my eyes behold the city,
Until the day God calls me home.
in whom are hidden
all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
I say this
so that no one will delude you with persuasive argument.
Where do you find truth? In Christ! He is TRUTH. There are a lot of lies and persuasive arguments floating around. Satan is the father of lies. Knowing Christ is a safeguard. Knowing Him is life. Knowing Him is finding treasure!
I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life.
We have not ceased to pray for you
and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will
in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,
so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord,
to please Him in all respects,
bearing fruit in every good work
and increasing in the knowledge of God;
strengthened with all power,
according to His glorious might,
for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience;
joyously giving thanks to the Father,
who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light.
This is a wonderful prayer! I’m praying it today for myself and many others.
I noticed how BIG this prayer is. Paul knew how BIG God is so he asked for it all!
FILLED with the knowledge of His will…
ALL spiritual wisdom…
please Him in ALL respects…
bearing fruit in EVERY good work…
INCREASING in the knowledge of God…
strengthened with ALL power…
attaining of ALL steadfastness and patience…
Yes! I want it all too! And I want it all for my friends!
More than anything I would like to encourage you in your walk with God!
