Let your gentle spirit be known to all men.
The Lord is near.
There are many situations in life that aren’t fair or right. Situations that disturb your peace. What do you do? Tell people the way it is? Stand up for yourself! Get mad? Turn bitter? Or a host of other reactions? No!
Let your gentle spirit out!
Gentleness= mild, yieldedness, sweet reasonableness, willingness to give up one's own way.
Why? The Lord is near. He knows what’s what, right? He can resolve all the unresolved.
How I bless Him for this word today! I needed it!
Then what? Oh how I love this!
Do not be anxious about anything,
but in everything by prayer and supplication
let your requests be made known to God.
And the peace of God,
which surpasses all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
whatever is true,
whatever is honorable,
whatever is just,
whatever is pure,
whatever is lovely,
whatever is commendable,
if there is any excellence,
if there is anything worthy of praise,
think about these things.
What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me--
practice these things,
and the God of peace will be with you.
So you want peace? This is what I observed.
Have a gentle spirit.
Don’t worry, pray.
Think about praise worthy things.
Then you get the peace of God and the God of peace! Well, this set me singing today!
Thanks for the reminder, Lord.
For our citizenship is in heaven,
from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior,
the Lord Jesus Christ;
who will transform the body of our humble state
into conformity with the body of His glory,
by the exertion of the power that He
has even to subject all things to Himself.
Philippians 3:20, 21
If you really believe this it transforms life!
I’m eagerly waiting! Jesus is coming back!
It could be today! Ya hoo! (Yes, I meant every one of those exclamation points.)
For I am confident of this very thing,
that He who began a good work in you
will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
I’m taking this promise to the bank! It is so wonderful to watch God save people! Even better than that is to know that when God begins the good work, He will complete it. Thank you, Lord!
More than anything I would like to encourage you in your walk with God!
