A wise man will hear and increase in learning,
And a man of understanding will acquire wise counsel…
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge;
Fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Hear, my son, your father's instruction
And do not forsake your mother's teaching;
Indeed, they are a graceful wreath to your head
And ornaments about your neck.
My son, if sinners entice you, Do not consent.
Don’t be a fool! Listen to the Lord! There are consequences for not listening and obeying! Do what you know is right! If you have a question mark in your mind…STOP! Choose to fear the Lord. He is wonderful. He loves you! But He is a good Father and there will be consequences for sinful behavior.
Then they will call on me, but I will not answer;
They will seek me diligently but they will not find me,
Because they hated knowledge
And did not choose the fear of the LORD.
Praise the LORD!
Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty expanse.
Praise Him for His mighty deeds; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness.
Praise Him with trumpet sound; Praise Him with harp and lyre.
Praise Him with timbrel and dancing; Praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe.
Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!
What can you say to that? Praise the Lord!
For the LORD takes pleasure in His people;
He will beautify the afflicted ones with salvation.
The Lord takes pleasure in His people! Why?
He was first pleased with His Son.
And behold, a voice out of the heavens said,
"This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased."
But the LORD was pleased To crush Him,
putting Him to grief;
If He would render Himself as a guilt offering,
He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days,
And the good pleasure of the LORD will prosper in His hand.
As a result of the anguish of His soul,
He will see it and be satisfied;
By His knowledge the Righteous One,
My Servant, will justify the many,
As He will bear their iniquities.
Isaiah 53:10, 11
I’m so thankful!
"In the Beloved," God’s marvelous grace
Calls me to dwell in this wonderful place;
God sees my Savior, and then He sees me,
"In the Beloved," accepted and free.

Praise Him, sun and moon;
Praise Him, all stars of light!
Praise Him, highest heavens,
And the waters that are above the heavens!
Let them praise the name of the LORD,
For He commanded and they were created.
He has also established them forever and ever;
He has made a decree which will not pass away.
I’m rejoicing today in God who is the Creator!
He created and He holds all things together by the word of His power.
What a wonderful God!
O how I love Him! How I adore Him!
My breath, my sunshine, my all in all.
The great Creator became my Savior,
And all God’s fullness dwelleth in Him.
He heals the brokenhearted
And binds up their wounds.
He counts the number of the stars;
He gives names to all of them.
Great is our Lord and abundant in strength;
His understanding is infinite.
The LORD supports the afflicted;
WOW! What a God who takes such a sweet interest in the brokenhearted and binds their wounds and is so great that He knows and named the stars. I’m rejoicing today in Omniscience and Omnipotence. I needed this today. My task these next weeks seems overwhelming, but this God, the eternal God, is my support. WOW!
With His healing hand on a broken heart,
And the other on a star,
Our wonderful God views the miles apart,
And they seem not very far.

Two more verses today:
He does not delight in the strength of the horse;
He does not take pleasure in the legs of a man.
The LORD favors those who fear Him,
Those who wait for His lovingkindness.
Psalm 147:10, 11
I'm waiting for HIM! You?
Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul!
I will praise the LORD while I live;
I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.
Do not trust in princes, In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation.
His spirit departs, he returns to the earth;
In that very day his thoughts perish.
How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
Whose hope is in the LORD his God,
Who made heaven and earth,
The sea and all that is in them;
Who keeps faith forever;
Who executes justice for the oppressed;
Who gives food to the hungry.
The LORD sets the prisoners free.
The LORD opens the eyes of the blind;
The LORD raises up those who are bowed down;
The LORD loves the righteous;
The LORD protects the strangers;
He supports the fatherless and the widow,
But He thwarts the way of the wicked.
The LORD will reign forever,
Your God, O Zion, to all generations.
Praise the LORD!
I love this psalm! I had to post the whole thing!
I love that the Lord is God, who made heaven and earth and still He cares for weak and helpless people. Do you see what He does for the hungry, prisoners, blind, those bowed down, the righteous, the stranger, the fatherless, the widow? Let’s see… He feeds, sets free, opens eyes, raises up, loves, protects, and supports. The wicked get thwarted.
Amazing God. Wonderful God. He is my help and my hope!
This is cause to place your trust in the right place. This is cause to praise the Lord!
The eyes of all look to You,
And You give them their food in due time.
You open Your hand And satisfy the desire of every living thing.
The LORD is righteous in all His ways And kind in all His deeds.
The LORD is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth.
Today is the day of the total eclipse. We are warned not to stare at the sun.
So where should my eyes look? To the Son!
He gives food at the right time.
He opens His hand.
He is righteous.
He is kind.
He is near.
And He is so much more! Read the Psalm.
Wonderful, wonderful Lord!
Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning;
For I trust in You;
Teach me the way in which I should walk;
For to You I lift up my soul.
I love this prayer!
There’s nothing better than hearing the Lord’s lovingkindness in the morning!
Sometimes night hours are filled with anxious thoughts and sleeplessness, but morning comes! And then comes renewed trust and guidance. Wonderful!
God will help her when morning dawns. Psalm 46:5
I cry to you, O LORD; I say,
"You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living."
Everyone needs a refuge to live in. I’m thinking about homes because we are in the process of selling and buying. God is our home! And what a home!
Lord, you have been our dwelling place in all generations.
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
Psalm 91:1, 2
What a comfortable home He is!
He will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
He will tend his flock like a shepherd;
he will gather the lambs in his arms;
he will carry them in his bosom,
and gently lead those that are with young.
The eternal God is your dwelling place,
and underneath are the everlasting arms.
What a safe, comfortable home is God! Move in ready. So move in... Enjoy!
Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth;
keep watch over the door of my lips!
I don’t have to let my thoughts pass the guard at the door of my lips.
I needed this reminder! Thank you, Lord!
This is a great prayer for the day… month… year… life!
More than anything I would like to encourage you in your walk with God!
